The Tribe

We’re almost to the finish line – Abandoning Temples is just over two weeks from launch!

This journey hasn’t been a solo one, by any means. Here’s a partial list of those without whom this never would have happened. I am grateful to them all.

To April, my wife, best friend and partner in all things, for your unwavering support for this and all my other unlikely ideas.

To Betsy, the only reader of my first book and first reader of this one. In many ways this book is for you.

To my first non-familial readers, Tony Copeland and Amy Mangan. Thanks for your validation that this is the book you were asking for.

To Jan Boutte, for being such a phenomenal friend, editor and pep talk-giver.

To Tamara Lush, for sage advice that showed me a path when all I saw were roadblocks.

To Dave Bruns, for reigniting his “Jeff whisperer” powers and for paving the way with Ignite the Future.

To Nancy, Kristin and Joan, and Beth, Gary and Dave, for your unflagging cheerleading.

To Carin and the patient designers at GetCovers and the good folks at Draft2Digital.

To all the encouragers who offered their connections, networks, prayers, ideas, or just good thoughts for me on this journey. This book only exists because you asked for it. Thanks especially for the A Team for spreading the word.

Of course, most of all, thanks to God, for a million reasons, none more than this: on my own, I’m a horrible writer with nothing to say. Anything worth reading here has come from me asking God what I should say.
